Islamabad, The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has announced the provisional merit lists for the first-year MBBS session 2023-24 for private sector medical colleges. The lists, categorized into ‘Open Merit’ and ‘Foreign Category,’ are available for candidates to review.
According to CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences, NUMS has advised candidates to report any discrepancies directly at their designated email address by 4:00 PM on Thursday, 30th November 2023. No complaints will be entertained beyond this deadline.
The aggregate for the merit list has been calculated based on the NUMS MDCAT 2023 results and the SSC, HSSC, or equivalent marks submitted by the candidates. Admission based on this aggregate is contingent upon the validity and verification of the original documents by the college. NUMS has cautioned that any discrepancy found in the documents at any stage will result in the cancellation of admission.
In a significant warning, NUMS stated that candidates found to have forged SSC/HSSC/Equivalent marks or presented false documents will be reported to the regulatory authority (PM&DC) and barred from applying to any medical or dental college in Pakistan in the future.
After the final merit list is displayed on 01 December 2023, candidates will be contacted via call or email, in order of merit, by their respective colleges using the contact information provided at the time of application submission.
This development marks a crucial phase in the admission process for aspiring medical students, ensuring transparency and meritocracy in the selection process for Pakistan’s future medical professionals.
