National Inter-Region U13 One-Day Cricket Tournament to Begin Across Pakistan

Lahore, The National Inter-Region U13 One-Day Tournament is poised to commence this Thursday, 1 February, marking a significant event in Pakistan’s cricket calendar. This year’s tournament will feature 16 teams, comprising a total of 240 young cricketers, competing in 39 matches across three cities.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the tournament is designed to consist of 30-over matches, fostering young talent in a competitive setting. A substantial prize pool of PKR 930,000 is set to be distributed among the winners and notable performers. The winning team will be awarded PKR 500,000, while the runners-up will receive PKR 250,000. Additionally, individual awards for the player of the tournament, best bowler, batter, wicket-keeper, fielder, and man of the final match will each carry a prize of PKR 30,000.

The competition is structured into three pools, with matches scheduled in Karachi (Pool A), Faisalabad (Pool B), and Lahore (Pool C). This distribution aims to showcase the breadth of cricketing talent across the country. Following the group stage, the top team from each pool will advance to the Triangular stage, culminating in a final to be held in Faisalabad from 15 to 19 February.

This tournament underscores Pakistan Cricket Board’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing a platform for emerging cricketers to showcase their skills on a national level. By hosting the event in multiple cities, the PCB aims to engage cricket enthusiasts nationwide and foster a spirit of healthy competition among the youth.
