Rawalpindi, A painting exhibition titled “Mother Nature” by visual artist Qazi Zahoor Ul Hassan was inaugurated at the Punjab Arts Council, attracting attention for its vivid portrayal of nature’s beauty and fragility.
According to Punjab Arts Council, the exhibition opened on Wednesday, with Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr. Jamal Nasir as the chief guest. The exhibition features over 50 works by Qazi Zahoor Ul Hasan, offering a poignant reminder of the importance of preserving our natural environment. The artworks vividly depict the diverse and vibrant aspects of nature, from the multi-colored spectrum of rainbows to the delicate beauty of spring flowers.
Dr. Jamal Nasir, addressing the exhibition’s attendees, highlighted the symbolic significance of flowers as emblems of happiness and the intricate beauty crafted by nature for human appreciation. He emphasized the mesmerizing effect of nature’s colors and fragrances on human emotions, moods, and personalities, underscoring the magical influence of floral hues.
The chief guest also extended congratulations to Qazi Zahoorul Hasan for his exceptional portrayal of nature’s colors. Waqar Ahmad, Director of the Arts Council, remarked that the “Mother Nature” exhibition acts as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect and cherish the Earth. He also noted the Punjab Arts Council’s role in providing a platform for artists to showcase their talents, with many artists from across the country beginning their careers at the Council.
The exhibition, which aims to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the sheer beauty of the natural world, will be open to the general public until December 15, 2023.
