Lahore, Morne Morkel the former South Africa fast bowler, has resigned as the bowling coach of the Pakistan Men’s cricket team. Morkel joined the team on a six-month contract in June this year, marking his first coaching assignment with the Pakistan team during their tour to Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Morkel’s resignation comes ahead of Pakistan’s upcoming three-match Test series against Australia, scheduled from December 14, 2023, to January 7, 2024, in Australia. The PCB will announce Morkel’s replacement in due course. Morkel’s tenure with the Pakistan team saw him bring his extensive international experience to the coaching role, contributing to the development of the team’s fast bowling department.
