Lahore Board Chairman Acts Against Exam Duty Negligence

Lahore, Following directives from Chairman Lahore Board Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Controller of Examinations Muhammad Zahid Mian conducted inspections at various examination centers, resulting in the dismissal of invigilators found neglecting their duties. During a surprise visit to the GT Road Manawan area, an invigilator named Nawab Nabi was relieved from his duty at Jalu Mor High Secondary School for negligence. Immediate action was ordered against him to maintain the integrity of the examination process.

According to The Indus Hospital, this strict supervision is part of the board’s commitment to ensuring fair and disciplined examination conditions. Additional raids were carried out by Deputy District Education Officer Muridke at the Punjab College of Commerce Muridke examination center, leading to further dismissals, including Center Superintendent Shahzad Ahmad and a private invigilator, Muhammad Yusuf, for failing to uphold their responsibilities.

The Controller of Examinations has mandated continuous and intensive monitoring of all examination centers during both morning and evening sessions, with instructions for all involved inspectors and special squads to report their findings directly to his office post the evening session.

This move comes as the first annual paper of the Secondary School Certificate (Class Ninth) 2024 commenced under stringent supervision, with a reported 292,712 candidates participating across 855 centers in Lahore, all conducted in an orderly and secure environment.
