Karachi Residents Turn to High Courts as Faith in Political System Wanes

Karachi, Provincial President Pakistan Peace Council Sindh, Imam and Khatib Jama Masjid Al-Khalil Bhatai Abad Golestan Johar Maulana Abdul Majid Farooqi expressed concerns over the failing political democratic system in the country, citing insufficient protection of people’s rights and a growing distrust among citizens. He highlighted the increasing reliance on the nation’s high courts by the public to address the insecurity of their lives and property, amidst a backdrop of inadequate basic services like clean drinking water, healthcare, and education.

According to Pakistan AMN Council, Maulana Abdul Majid Farooqi emphasized the urgent need for revolutionary measures to ensure the survival and future of the country and its next generations. He pointed out that reducing government expenditure, ending nepotism, and curbing political favors are essential first steps. He also noted the severe impact of poverty and hunger on the populace, which has led to a rejection of the current political framework and a mobilization towards unity and change.
