IIUI Pro-Chancellor Advocates for Educational Institutions’ Role in Society and Technology Adaptation

Karachi, Professor Dr. Ahmad Salem Muhammad Al-Ameri, Pro-Chancellor of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and President of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, emphasized the crucial role of educational institutions in staying relevant to societal needs and adapting to technological advancements. He addressed this during an interactive session at the Faisal Masjid Campus of IIUI, as part of his significant visit to Islamabad for the university’s 12th convocation.

According to IIUI, In the meeting with IIUI Vice Presidents, Deans, DGs, and Directors, Dr. Al-Ameri highlighted the need for depoliticization in educational institutions to achieve constructive results. He encouraged faculty members to focus on producing highly skilled youth, integrating teachings of Islam into their education. Emphasizing the importance of learning from others’ experiences, he pointed out the necessity of prioritizing research within the educational framework.

Discussing Pak-Saudi relations, Dr. Al-Ameri noted the keen interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman in maintaining strong ties with Pakistan. He acknowledged the admiration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for its relationship with Pakistan.

Rector IIUI, Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, expressed gratitude for the Pro-Chancellor’s visit and the continuous support from the Saudi Government and Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University. The IIUI President also presented an overview of the university’s policies, future goals, and its societal contributions. He committed to furthering the university’s efforts in becoming a leading educational institution globally and thanked Dr. Al-Ameri for his appreciation of IIUI’s management.
