IHHN Launches Nationwide Youth-Led Campaign This Ramazan to Support Patients in Need

Karachi, The Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) is initiating “Meer-e-Karwan Hum Hain,” Pakistan’s most extensive youth-led Ramazan campaign, aimed at rallying support and raising funds for patients across its nationwide health facilities. Orchestrated by IHHN’s Indus Yaqeen program, the campaign seeks to mobilize youth volunteers to advocate for and contribute towards providing free, quality healthcare to those in need.

According to The Indus Hospital, the initiative leverages the spirit of Ramazan to encourage youth participation in supporting IHHN’s mission of delivering respectful and dignified healthcare. With a significant portion of patients at the Indus Hospital’s Korangi Campus eligible for Zakat, the campaign offers a unique opportunity for the youth to play an active role in IHHN’s efforts to offer comprehensive healthcare services at no cost.

IHHN’s holistic approach extends beyond medical treatment, encompassing mental, social, and economic support for patients and their families. This includes mental health services, awareness campaigns on preventable diseases, free meals and lodging for non-local patients, and vocational training to foster self-reliance. Through these efforts, IHHN aims to uplift individuals and contribute to the creation of healthier, economically stable communities.

Indus Yaqeen is engaging students from various educational levels to partake in this cause, from distributing awareness materials to organizing fundraising events for collecting Zakat and Sadaqa. The campaign also involves media outreach and direct interaction with patients to spread messages of support and generosity.

A recent collaboration with Unilever marked a highlight of the campaign, bringing joy to over 100 pediatric patients at the Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, through pottery making, painting activities, and a special feast. The event not only provided a moment of joy for the children and their families but also underscored the importance of community support in enhancing patient care.

IHHN invites everyone to join their mission this Ramazan, emphasizing that every contribution, no matter its size, can make a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families.
