ICON 2024 Continues with Scientific Sessions in Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh, Day Two of ICON 2024, hosted at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH) in Muzaffargarh, marked the commencement of a series of scientific and plenary sessions, aligning with this year’s theme of ‘Game Changing Solutions in Healthcare’. This event is part of a larger conference accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

According to The Indus Hospital, the second day of ICON 2024 featured over nine scientific sessions with discussions designed to revolutionize conventional medical systems and treatment approaches. The topics covered a wide range of subjects including resuscitation, point of care testing, recent advances in obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, and diabetes management. Additionally, there were focused sessions on general surgery and surgical oncology practices.

The day also included two interactive plenary discussions centered on the critical role of technology in healthcare and innovative solutions for overcoming current challenges in healthcare accessibility. These discussions explored transformative paths in healthcare, emphasizing artificial intelligence and information technology as essential components of modern medical practices. The use of data to improve healthcare systems and business ventures using AI was also a key point of discussion.

ICON 2024’s mission is to gather healthcare experts and visionaries to address major themes and share solutions for healthcare challenges in Pakistan and globally. The conference continues to make a significant impact, with professional workshops running from January 22-25, 2024, across Lahore, Muzaffargarh, Badin, and Karachi.

The scientific sessions and plenary discussions will continue in Karachi on Day Three and Four, scheduled for January 27-28, 2024. This sequence of events underlines ICON 2024’s commitment to enhancing healthcare through innovative and collaborative approaches.
