Jamshoro, The Higher Education Commission (HEC) concluded a successful three-day evaluation visit to the University of Sindh Jamshoro, recognizing the university’s accomplishments in various teaching and administrative capacities.
According to University of Sindh, was conducted by a distinguished 7-member team from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) HEC Islamabad using the Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) and Postgraduate Programme Review (PGPR) methodologies. This team, including Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan and other notable academics, conducted a comprehensive review of 70 teaching departments, such as the Institute of English Language & Literature, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, and the Central Library.
The objective of the HEC team’s visit was to assess and initiate improvements in the university’s governance. They examined various departments and institutes within the university to enhance overall performance. The team’s findings highlighted the effective conduct of classes, the commitment of teachers to their duties, and the quality of teaching content, which they described as exquisite.
In a meeting with SU Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, the team shared their observations and commended Dr. Kalhoro for his leadership in maintaining high standards of education and administration at the university.
As a token of their appreciation, the HEC team presented Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kalhoro with handmade mufflers crafted by students from the Institute of Art & Design at the University of Sindh. This gesture underscored the university’s commitment to fostering a creative and supportive learning environment. The HEC team’s overall satisfaction with the university’s performance marks a significant achievement for the University of Sindh, reflecting its dedication to excellence in higher education.
