Karachi, In a riveting final, Government Jinnah College emerged victorious in the Inter College Ramadan T-20 Cup, defeating Government College 36-B Landhi No.4 by three wickets at the Eid Gah Ground in Nazimabad.
According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the Chief Guest at the night tournament final on Thursday was Syed Najmi Alam, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Sindh, who handed out awards during a modest yet striking ceremony. Government Jinnah College’s captain Rizwan Khan received the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of five lakh rupees, while the runner-up captain of Government College 36-B Landhi No.4 took home the trophy and a cash prize of two lakh fifty thousand rupees.
Individual awards were distributed, with Naeem Gul of Government Jinnah College being named the Man of the Final Match and the Best Bowler of the Tournament. Ghazi Ghouri of Government College Formen earned the Best Batsman title, and Abdul Rafay of National College Morning was declared the Player of the Tournament. Special presentations were also made to Chief Guest Syed Najmi Alam and various members of the Tournament Committee.
The final match saw Government Jinnah College chase down a target set by Government College 36-B Landhi No.4, who were all out for 75 runs within 17.5 overs. The winning team achieved their target with a score of 76/7 in 14.3 overs, thanks to a notable performance by Kashan Fahim with a score of 25.
The match was supervised by umpires Imran Jawed and Aqil Adil, with Imran Ali serving as the official scorer. The event was also graced by the presence of notable figures from the cricketing community, including former Test cricketer Touseef Ahmed and several dignitaries and officials.
