Lahore, Government College University (GCU) Lahore has officially opened admissions for its undergraduate programs for the spring 2024 semester. The university is offering a diverse range of courses across more than 28 disciplines, spanning both its main and new campuses, starting from Monday, January 29.
According to Government College University, the range of programs includes modern fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Environmental Science, as well as traditional subjects like Art History, Philosophy, Persian, and Urdu. Adhering to its long-standing tradition, GCU is conducting admissions on an open merit basis for most disciplines. However, for certain programs like BS Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science, an aptitude-based entrance test is mandatory. This requirement also applies to admissions in BS Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
To simplify the application process, GCU has enabled online submissions through its official website, www.gcuonline.pk, and will also accept manual applications at its admissions office. In an effort to make education more accessible, the application fee has been significantly reduced to Rs.500 per discipline.
The university is also offering financial aid and reduced fees for students who qualify, demonstrating GCU’s commitment to inclusivity and support for underrepresented groups. This includes special consideration under a two-percent quota for Disabled and Minority students, fostering a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
