Mithi, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in a press conference, asserted that the PPP is the only political party in Pakistan capable of bringing stability by uniting everyone. The event, held in the context of the party’s recent success in municipal elections, highlighted PPP’s readiness to address national challenges, irrespective of political dynamics.

Chairman Zardari pointed out the success of the Thar Coal project as the most effective private-public partnership project in Pakistan. He cited data from UNDP and World Bank regarding Tharparkar, highlighting a 50% reduction in the mortality rate of mothers and children under five due to the provincial government’s investment in the health sector and initiatives like cash transfer programs for mothers and newborns.
The chairman expressed his commitment to further development, including plans to build a railway line from Karachi to Tharparkar to facilitate coal transportation and improve travel facilities for the people of Tharparkar. He acknowledged challenges faced during previous governments and called for the caretaker government to continue the policy of the previous PPP government in Sindh, particularly in relation to development projects.
