Chairman Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s message on Police Martyrs Day (Youm-e-Shuhada)

Karachi, August 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan’s post-independence history is replete with unforgettable stories of unprecedented sacrifices of policemen for the establishment of law and order as well as stability of peace within the country.

According to the statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, Chairman PPP, in his message on the occasion of Police Martyrs Day (Youm-e-Shuhada), being observed on August 4 nationwide, has paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan Police and expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs. He furthered that the martyrs of the police are not just the martyrs of a department, but they are the heroes and martyrs of the entire nation, adding, “The sacrifices of the police and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in the fight against terrorism will never be forgotten.”

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that there are no two opinions on the importance, effectiveness and key role of the police in protecting the life and property of the citizens. He said that his party’s government in Sindh province has taken many commendable steps along with increasing the financial assistance for the families of police martyrs as well as the injured policemen. “The PPP government formed after winning the upcoming general elections will modernize the police department and take more measures for the welfare of police personnel,” he vowed.
