Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar Engages with LUMS Community

LAHORE, Mr. Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, made a notable visit to the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on October 30, where he took part in an interactive session with the institution’s students and leadership.

According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, the Prime Minister was cordially received by prominent figures at LUMS, including Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Pro Chancellor; Mr. Shahid Hussain, Rector; Dr. Tariq Jadoon, Acting Vice Chancellor and Provost; and others. Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, the Director of Advancement, briefed Mr. Kakar about the University’s vision, recent achievements, and ongoing research endeavours. During the interaction with the students, Prime Minister Kakar commended LUMS for its remarkable contributions to education in Pakistan and acknowledged the significance of youth in shaping the country’s future. He emphasized the potential of the younger generation and encouraged students to bravely venture into various pursuits and learn from any ensuing challenges. The subsequent Q and A session covered a broad range of subjects, from economic strategies to societal reforms. Mr. Kakar actively engaged in the discussion, presenting solutions and expressing his aspiration for further interactions with students in times to come.
