Karachi, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has paid homage to the late Ms. Benazir Bhutto, the first democratically elected female Prime Minister of the Islamic world and a significant global leader. In his message on the 16th martyrdom day of his mother, he described her as not only a historic figure but also a living movement and a guiding light.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, the PPP Chairman expressed that Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto’s patriotism, enduring struggle, and unwavering leadership have left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the Pakistani nation. He emphasized her commitment to transforming Pakistan into a true welfare state, a vision she pursued relentlessly.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reflected on Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto’s role as a unifying force across diverse regions of Pakistan, including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. He condemned her assassination as a nefarious conspiracy aimed at derailing Pakistan’s journey towards an enlightened, moderate, and democratic society.

The chairman also highlighted her achievements in various roles. As the Chairperson of PPP, she elevated the party’s philosophy and struggle, continuing the legacy of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. As a political leader, she consistently represented the voice of the common man and the underprivileged classes. Her tenure as Prime Minister was marked by significant contributions to national defense through ballistic missile technology, and she championed the rights and welfare of salaried employees, farmers, workers, minorities, women, children, and the elderly.
