Islamabad, Former President of Pakistan and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari, commemorated the 16th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Zardari paid homage to the late leader, reaffirming the commitment to continue her mission for a free, independent Pakistan, with an empowered Parliament and adherence to the rule of the Constitution.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that the eradication of poverty, unemployment, and economic distress was central to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision, and remains a primary goal of the Pakistan Peoples Party. He highlighted her courage in the face of dictators and extremists, stating that her bravery forms the legacy for the leadership and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party.

President Zardari expressed confidence that the realization of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision of a Pakistan free from political, social, and economic exploitation is not far. He underscored her philosophy that the prosperity of Pakistan’s workers and farmers is essential to the nation’s progress. Concluding his tribute, Asif Ali Zardari asserted that the Pakistan Peoples Party is dedicated to securing a promising future for the youth, providing them with ample opportunities for advancement and development.
