Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Addresses Massive Rally in Dera Ismail Khan

Dera Ismail Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, delivered a powerful address at a grand rally in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, drawing a large crowd and emphasizing the party’s longstanding relationship with the region.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman Bilawal expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support of the people of D.I. Khan, a region with historical ties to the PPP since the time of Quaid-e-Awan Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He acknowledged the enthusiasm and dedication of the local Jiyalas, asserting their significant role in the upcoming elections.

Chairman Bilawal highlighted the challenges Pakistan currently faces, including terrorism, poverty, inflation, and unemployment, and criticized the traditional politicians for their inability to understand and address these issues. He emphasized the PPP’s commitment to the welfare of the common people, contrasting it with other political parties’ focus on the elite.

Outlining the PPP’s 10-point economic charter, he spoke about prioritizing solutions to inflation, poverty, and unemployment, following the philosophies of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The agenda, available in regional languages including Pashto and Saraiki, was a part of his instruction to party workers for widespread dissemination.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made several promises, including doubling wages within five years, providing 300 units of free electricity via solar power to deserving citizens, building three million houses with ownership rights for women, and establishing a university for women in D.I. Khan. He also pledged to expand the Benazir Income Support Programme, provide interest-free loans to women, introduce ‘Benazir Kissan Card’ and ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’, and launch the ‘Bhook Mitao Programme’ to combat hunger.

The Chairman emphasized a strategy for financing these initiatives, including reallocating funds from government-run ministries and subsidies given to the elite, to the downtrodden masses.

He urged the people of D.I. Khan to reject traditional politics of hate and division and support the PPP by voting for the arrow symbol. Bilawal positioned the PPP as a democratic alternative to other political forces and called on party workers to unite for the victory of PPP’s candidates in the upcoming elections.
