Azad Writers Forum President Criticizes Indian Threats, Stresses Pakistani Unity and Strength

Karachi, Rizwan Ahmed Fikri, President of the Azad Writers Forum and a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has issued a strong rebuke of what he describes as baseless threats from India, asserting the resilience and unity of Pakistan in the face of external pressures. Highlighting the nation’s readiness to defend its sovereignty, Fikri’s comments underscore a deep-seated national pride in Pakistan’s military capabilities and its people’s spirit.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Fikri lambasted India’s posturing and threats as ineffective and accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of employing deceitful tactics to sway electoral outcomes in his favor. He celebrated the patriotic fervor that pervades Pakistan, mentioning the widespread chant of “Allahu Akbar” as emblematic of the country’s unity and defiance. Fikri further pointed to Pakistan’s status as a nuclear power and its historical resilience, invoking the legacy of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and the country’s principled stance on international law and sovereignty.

The statement also included a critique of Modi’s policies towards minorities in India, drawing a parallel with Pakistan’s support for Kashmiri Muslims. Fikri warned against any misinterpretation of Pakistan’s restraint as a weakness, asserting the nation’s capability to defend itself and respond to provocations, citing the example of Kargil. He emphasized that the entire Pakistani nation stands solidly behind its armed forces, ready to counter any threats or aggression.

Fikri’s remarks come at a time of heightened tension between Pakistan and India, bringing to the fore the ongoing disputes and the complex dynamics of South Asian politics. His call for unity and readiness to face any challenges reflects a broader sentiment within Pakistan regarding its sovereignty and the protection of its people.
