Bahawalpur, November 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):A seminar was organized at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. The seminar was chaired by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar. Prof. Dr. Haji Muhammad Shoaib, Prof. Dr. Munir Azhar, Chairman Department of HND and Dr. Arshad Javed from South Africa spoke on the occasion.
Participants said that November 14 is celebrated around the world as World Diabetes Day. The rising rate of diabetes in Pakistan is a major obstacle to Pakistan’s development and the main reason for its spread is lack of awareness. IUB Health and Safety Society also organized a free diabetes screening camp in collaboration with a local pharmacy.
