Former Punjab Chief Minister Manzoor Wattoo Joins PPP with Family

Lahore, In Lahore, former Chief Minister of Punjab, Manzoor Wattoo, along with his family, has officially joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). The announcement came following a meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. This move marks a significant realignment in Punjab’s political landscape, involving multiple former legislators.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the Wattoo family, including former National Assembly members Khurram Wattoo and Rubina Shaheen Wattoo, as well as former Punjab Assembly members Moazzam Wattoo, Jahan Ara Wattoo, and Amina Wattoo Kasuri, have all aligned themselves with the PPP. The meeting in Lahore was also attended by key PPP figures such as Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Hassan Murtaza, highlighting the party’s welcoming of the Wattoo family into its fold.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed enthusiasm about the new members, emphasizing the party’s strengthened position in Punjab. This strategic inclusion could reshape political dynamics in the region as the PPP consolidates further support.
