1st National Agri-Tech Expo 2024 to Revolutionize Agriculture in Pakistan

Haripur, The University of Haripur is set to host the 1st National Agri-Tech Expo 2024, a dynamic exhibition designed to empower the agricultural industry by showcasing the latest technologies and innovations. Scheduled for January 23 and 24, 2024, the expo is open to a wide array of participants, including farmers, agriculturalists, biotechnologists, government employees, students, and anyone interested in taking a giant leap in agriculture.

According to The University of Haripur, the expo, organized by Chief Organizers Dr. Ali Raza Gurmani and Dr. Ijaz Hussain, aims to serve as a knowledge exchange platform, encourage youth participation in the industry, share advanced technology with farmers, develop strategic partnerships, and appreciate and motivate innovators. Major industry stakeholders and agriculture researchers from all over Pakistan are expected to attend.

The expo features several key themes, including an Agri-Tech Exhibition, Agri-Tech Idea Competition, Citrus Show, Cultural Festival, and Food Festival. The Agri-Tech Idea Competition is a highlight, inviting faculty, researchers, and students from universities across Pakistan to submit innovative agri-tech ideas. The deadline for submission is January 18, 2024, and the top three ideas will be awarded cash prizes for prototype development.

The Food Festival encourages student participation, where they can set up food stalls and compete for awards and certificates. The Agri-Tech Exhibition will showcase various sectors like plant protection, natural resource management, animal husbandry, farm machinery, and more.

Additionally, a cultural show organized by the UOH star society will feature students from different institutions presenting various cultural activities. Stall reservations for the event are open to government organizations, industries, entrepreneurs, students, universities, and local businesspersons, with a reservation form available on the UOH website.

This expo represents a significant step forward in integrating technology and innovation in Pakistan’s agricultural sector, potentially leading to transformative changes in farming practices and sustainability.
