Two-Day Chemistry Event “Alchemy” Engages Students with Interactive Learning

Lahore: The Forman Speers Chemical Society, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, successfully organized a two-day event, "Alchemy," on May 13-14, 2026, aimed at promoting students' interest in chemistry through interactive and hands-on learning experiences.

According to Forman Christian College, the event commenced with a dynamic Chem Mela, featuring activities such as Oobleck, Elephant Toothpaste, Giant Bubbles, Beer Pong, and a marble race using viscous liquids. These interactive demonstrations allowed participants to explore key scientific concepts like non-Newtonian fluids, chemical reactions, surface tension, and viscosity.

On the second day, a hands-on Vitamin C Workshop provided participants with an opportunity to prepare a Vitamin C serum through guided practical activities. Overall, Alchemy successfully stimulated curiosity, enhanced scientific understanding, and encouraged students to develop a deeper interest in chemistry through interactive, hands-on experiences.
