Punjab University and Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania Collaborate on Virtual Academic Project

LAHORE: Punjab University Department of Social Work, in collaboration with Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, has successfully completed an international academic project that offered two virtual courses to its students. The initiative enabled participating students to gain international exposure and learning opportunities from a US university.

According to University of the Punjab, the project was led by Associate Prof Dr. Sonia Omer from the Department of Social Work. This collaboration allowed students to be integrated into live classes conducted in the United States, providing them with the chance to interact with international faculty and students, thereby experiencing a global learning environment in real time. Upon successful completion, students received certificates from the host institution.

This initiative, undertaken with prior permission from university administrators, reflects the department's commitment to strengthening global academic linkages and enhancing student learning experiences. The project's success highlights the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali, whose vision and support continue to facilitate international academic initiatives, creating valuable opportunities for Punjab University students.
