Lahore, Pakistani cricketer Sadia Iqbal has ascended to the fourth spot in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowlers Rankings, a testament to her impressive performance in the recent T20I series against New Zealand. This achievement follows the Pakistan women’s cricket team’s historic series win in New Zealand, where they emerged victorious 2-1.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Sadia Iqbal, a 28-year-old left-arm spinner, has been instrumental in Pakistan’s success. Her T20I career, spanning 28 matches, includes 29 wickets, with a best performance of three wickets for 19 runs against Bangladesh in 2019. Her consistent excellence also led to her being shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for November. Additionally, in the One Day Internationals (ODIs), she has risen six places, now holding the 34th position.
Nashra Sundhu, another prominent left-arm spinner from Pakistan, is ranked eighth in the ICC Women’s T20I bowlers rankings. With 53 wickets in 51 T20Is, Nashra has also made significant strides in ODIs, moving up two places to the 13th spot.
Nida Dar, the captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team, is also making her mark in the rankings. She is currently fifth among all-rounders and 18th in bowling in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings.
In the ICC Women’s ODI rankings, there has been notable progress for Sidra Amin, who recently scored a century against the White Ferns. She has moved up three places to 21st. Sidra leads the batting charts of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 with 852 runs in 16 matches, including three centuries and four half-centuries.
