Lahore, The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has accepted the resignation of Inzamam-ul-Haq from his positions as the chairman of the national men’s selection committee and junior selection committee, with plans to name his successor in the forthcoming period.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Inzamam-ul-Haq resigned on October 30, 2023, to allow for an unimpeded and transparent inquiry into allegations of a conflict of interest during his tenure, particularly concerning the team selection process. A committee of five members has been instituted by the PCB to conduct this investigation, with the findings to be reported to the PCB Management without delay. Inzamam-ul-Haq’s tenure began on August 7, 2023, and he assumed the role of the chairman for the junior selection committee just last month.
