LAHORE, In a significant address, Rashid Naseem, Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, marked October 7 as a turning point for global unity in support of Palestine, noting a collective Muslim stand from Pakistan to Morocco against perceived Israeli transgressions.
According to Jamaat-e-Islami, Naseem, speaking to the Women’s Circle of Jamaat-e-Islami in Central Punjab, reflected on the events following October 7, which he described as a pivotal moment when Jews recall the Holocaust. He compared that historic persecution to what he termed a “moral holocaust” against Israel and Jews, precipitated by their own actions, which, in his view, resulted in their moral demise in the eyes of suffering humanity.
The Deputy Amir emphasized that the repercussions of October 7 have led to widespread demonstrations, with millions globally protesting against what he termed as Jewish persecution. He noted that this unified stance of the Muslim Ummah is a manifestation of solidarity with the Palestinians that spans across the Islamic world.
Furthermore, Naseem criticized the Western world, accusing it of double standards in democracy and a lack of moral principle. He posited that this has brought humanity to a crossroads where the prevailing truth will eventually emerge.
Naseem called upon the Muslim Ummah to boycott Israeli products, seek divine assistance, and make generous contributions to aid the Palestinian people. The meeting also had the presence of Provincial Governor Rabia Tariq, who joined in the discussions.
