Shehbaz Sharif Condemns Israeli Attack on Gaza Hospital

Lahore, Former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Shehbaz Sharif, issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli attack on a hospital in Gaza, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of more than 500 Palestinian lives.

According to the press release by Pakistan Muslim League (N), Sharif stated that words cannot adequately express the horror of the act committed by Israel. The devastating impact on children, women, and those seeking treatment in the hospital has deeply affected him and many around the world. He criticized the international community’s silence, equating it to indirectly endorsing the actions of a violent state.

Sharif emphasized that Israel’s actions are tantamount to war crimes and urged immediate measures to cease the ongoing violence against the Palestinians. He called on the United Nations to take action against Israel for these transgressions and insisted that the Security Council and the international community at large must uphold international laws to prevent further harm to innocent lives.

Highlighting the repercussions of these violations, Sharif warned that if unchecked, the oppressive acts in Palestine have the potential to disrupt global peace. Drawing parallels to past incidents, he remarked that Israel’s current actions echo the tragedies witnessed in Sabra and Shatila.

The devastation has not only tarnished Israel’s image but has also, according to Sharif, made humanity hang its head in collective sorrow and regret. He expressed particular concern over the bombing of the most vulnerable, including sick children and women, labeling it an act of sheer barbarism. Concluding his statement, Sharif called for unity within the Islamic world to intervene and halt the ongoing violence in the region.
