Who defied the orders of the East India Company, declared the subcontinent Darul Harb, and called for Jihad against the British. His students and the students of his students played a great role from the first battle in Balakot against Ranjit Singh, an ally of the British, to the rebellion of 1857, in which the scholars of Sindh and especially the Har movement also played a great role.

Because of the rebellion of 1857, the British hanged thousands of scholars and bulldozed their madrassas, so that the Azadi movement became an orphan for some time and as a result, Sir Syed and other Muslim leaders took efforts to establish modern educational institutions, namely schools, colleges and universities. Later, Tehreek-e-Pakistan movement was born from these modern educational institutions and thus Pakistan came into existence on 14 August 1947.

Although today we are celebrating the 76th anniversary of Pakistan, today Pakistan is not economically independent, so today is educational institutions should play a special role for the economic independence of Pakistan so that our country can enjoy peace, prosperity and development.
