Lahore, August 15, 2023 (PPI-OT): Punjab Seed Council in its 57th Meeting approved transgenic triple gene cotton variety (CKC-05), developed at Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), for general cultivation in Punjab. Meeting was chaired by Minister for Agriculture, Govt of Punjab and convened by Managing Director Punjab Seed Corporation. It is worth mentioning that CKC-01 and CKC-03 developed at CEMB are already available on the market while CKC-06 is about to be commercialized by Punjab Seed Corporation. CEMB has always been at fore front for commercializing its agriculture related products to benefit the farmer community.
