Lahore, August 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day the annual celebration of nationhood, i.e. a day to commemorate the great epoch in the history of the subcontinent that led to the emergence of Pakistan amidst the contending rays of belief, skepticism, despair, and hope. The birth of Pakistan was more of a solution to a communal riot that made partition inevitable. For this relatively new born state, the founding fathers envisioned a very promising image: a country that would be a social welfare and democratic state, radiating the true message of Islam.
Today, Pakistan is facing economic crisis and educational institutions can play a part in improving its current abhorrent situation. By providing quality education, The University of Lahore is playing a vital role in securing the future of Pakistan. We at UOL focus on not only just providing the knowledge, but also stimulating the holistic development of youth.
There has been a dire need to realign the structure of education to cope with the exponentially increasing complexity of the global world. Realizing this need, UOL, being a private-sector university, derives quite a degree of satisfaction from the services that it has been putting forth to fulfil the educational needs of the people. UOL focuses on students’ skill development, and provide entrepreneurial opportunities to them. It provides international exposure to its students by conducting conferences and signing student exchange agreements with different foreign universities.
Bolstering the vision of the founding fathers, UOL has continued to provide a high-standard education, offering 200+ degree programmes in various fields of study. It is a proud Pakistani university that is educating students from over 15 countries. On this 76th anniversary of independence, UOL pledges to continue educating the youth to play its role in Pakistan’s societal and economic well-being.
