The Last Date for UET Entry Test Registration is June 30, 2022 

Lahore, June 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):The last date for registration of UET Entry test (ECAT-22), for admissions in BSc Engineering and BSc Engineering Technology programs across Punjab, is June 30, 2022. On payment of Rs. 1500/- Tokens are available at designated HBL branches until June 30, and facility to pay registration fee online and acquire token number will also be available until June 30, 2022.

All Pakistani students who have passed or are about to take the Intermediate exams will be allowed to sit in ECAT. However, candidates who do not appear in the UET entrance test will not be eligible for admission in the undergraduate programs of any government engineering institution. The mock tests for undergraduate programs will be held on July 15 and 16, while the entrance tests will be held from July 18 to 22.

Department of Psychology Arranged Walk on “World Food Safety Day” 

Islamabad, June 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):On 14th June 2022 – The Department of Psychology organized an event on World Food Safety Day with the theme of “Safer Food, Better Health”. The event comprised a food safety awareness walk, a Poster competition has been took place under the supervision of Ms. Javeria Khalid. The purpose of this walk is to convey the message by using different colourful posters, and banners made by the student of 3rd-semester Psychology. Faculty members including Ms. Maryam Khan and Ms. Ms. Sumaira Manzoor appreciated the work done by the students.

Department of Management Sciences Organized a Seminar on “Financial Decision Making and Role of Financial Analyst” 

Islamabad, June 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):A seminar “Financial Decision Making and Role of Financial Analyst” organized on June 15th, 2022, under the supervision of Ms. Rabia Habib. The guest speaker was Mr. Jamal Anis Abbasi, Head Finance Dept. Helping Hands. An overview of financial decision making followed by a brief introduction of forecasting techniques used to evaluate projects within an organization.

The financial criteria used for acceptance or rejection of projects along-with elaborate discussion on the role of financial analyst in the process. Mr. Jamal Anis scrutinized the federal budget 2022 and highlighted the main segments of budget and major stakeholders. Towards the end of the session, the guest speaker discussed the major challenges faced by Pakistan and shed light on the role of financial analyst in improving the economic turmoil.

Worthy Vice Chancellor and his delegation visited the National Press Club Islamabad 

Bahawalpur, June 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia of University Bahawalpur, has said that alumni are an asset of the University, with the help and cooperation of which the pace of development of the university can be accelerated. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a 100 year old University from which the graduates are spread all over the world including Pakistan. Their help and cooperation is very important in the development of the University. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while addressing a gathering of journalist alumni at National Press Club Islamabad yesterday.

President of Federal Union of Journalists Shahzada Zulfiqar, President National Press Club Islamabad Anwar Raza, Dr. Sadia Kamal, Saghir Chaudhry, Naveed Akbar Chaudhry, Rana Adnan, Farrukh Ejaz, Naveed Azhar, Fahad Ahmad Missan, Tariq Ali Virk, Muhammad Faraz Malik, Shehzad Ahmad Khalid, Director Press Media and Publications, Dr. Azhar Hussain, Director Alumni were present on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor said that alumni members can raise their voices in the capital for their motherland in their respective fields, especially in the press media.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a fast growing University in which the number of students has increased from 13 thousand to 57 thousand in the last three years, the number of teachers has increased from 450 to 1200. The University has increased the number of faculties from 7 to 15 and new departments have been set up to suit the needs of the market and the country. To this end, projects worth Rs. 12 billion are being implemented by the federal government, provincial government and public-private partnership and from their own resources.

Alumni can be very effective for timely funding of these projects. Dr. Azhar Hussain, Director, Alumni, said that the Alumni Network has provided a platform to alumni around the world and so far, 14,000 alumni have registered. Rana Adnan, the focal person of the event, thanked the Vice Chancellor for attending the event and for his encouragement. Shields were also distributed among the alumni members on the occasion.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condoles death of PPP leader Bakht Baider 

Karachi, June 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing away of Bakht Baidar President PPP Malakand division and a two-time elected member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Bakht Baidar passed away in Peshawar today after a brief illness. In a condolence message, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Bakht Baidar was a highly popular political worker who commanded respect across social and political divide. The vacuum created by his death will take a long time to fill, he said.

PPP Chairman prayed for eternal peace for the soul of Bakht Baidar and patience to all bereaved to bear the loss with equanimity. Meanwhile the Provincial President of the Party cancelled the meeting of the Party’s provincial cabinet scheduled this afternoon as mark of respect for the departed soul and to enable party leaders attend the funeral.
