‫شینزن کی دلکشی و زندگی کی کھوج میں جین – زرس سائیکل چلاتے ہیں

بیجنگ، 31 مئی 2022 /پی آر نیوز وائر/ — گلوبل ٹائمز آن لائن سے جاری رکھی خبر30 مئی 2022 کو جنوبی چین کے گوانگ ڈونگ صوبے شینزن میں سائیکل سواری کی ایک سرگرمی کا انعقاد کیا گیا جس کا مقصد “سائنس اور ٹیکنالوجی کے ساتھ سبز مستقبل کو روشن کرنا” تھا۔

اس سرگرمی میں لگ بھگ 30 جین-زرس جن میں چین، روس اور وینزویلا کے چار پُراثرسوشل میڈیا افراد، شنگھائی تعاون تنظیم (ایس سی او) یوتھ ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ انوویشن فورم کے شرکاء اور شینزن میں زندگی کے ہر شعبے کے نوجوان نمائندوں نے شرکت کی۔

انہوں نے مل کر چین کی ریفارم اور اوپننگ – اپ ڈرائیو  کے اہم مقامات اور دنیا کی سب سے قیمتی انٹرنیٹ فرموں میں سے ایک ٹینسینٹ کے ہیڈ کوارٹر کا دورہ کیا۔

انہوں نے لیان ہواشان پارک سے آغاز کیا اور شیکو ٹائم اسکوائر، ٹینسینٹ سی فرنٹ ٹاورز اور شینزن بے پارک کے ذریعے او سی ٹی اوہ بے پر فیرس وہیل پر سوار ہوئے۔

کم کاربن اور گرین ٹور کے دوران چینی اور غیر ملکی جین- زرز دونوں نے شینزن کی ریفارم اور اوپننگ – اپ کی تاریخ کو جانا اور نوخیز شہر کی تکنیکی ترقی اور اختراعی زندگی کا تجربہ کیا۔

سڑک پر آنے کے بعد جین-زرس نے سب سے پہلے ٹینسینٹ سی فرنٹ ٹاورز کا دورہ کیا جو انٹرنیٹ آف تھنگز (آئی او ٹی) اور مصنوعی ذہانت (اے آئی) جیسی نئی ٹیکنالوجیز کے لیے آزمائشی میدان ہے اور پھر وہ شیکو ٹائم اسکوائر سے گزرے جہاں انہوں نے شیکو انڈسٹریل زون کے سامنے ایک دیو قامت پوسٹر دیکھا جس پر “وقت دولت ہے، کارکردگی زندگی ہے” کا نعرہ درج تھا۔

جولائی 1979 میں شیکو انڈسٹریل زون نے شینزن میں تعمیر شروع کی جس نے چین کی ریفارم اور اوپننگ اپ کا “پہلا شاٹ” فائر کیا۔

پرمسرت ماحول میں جین-زرس نے شینزن بے پارک کا دورہ کیا جہاں انہوں نے ساحلی پٹی پر سائیکل چلانا شروع کر دی۔ اخر کار، وہ منزل پر پہنچے – او سی ٹی اوہ بے میں فیرس وہیل، جہاں انہوں نے ایک جدید شہر کے طور پر شینزن کی دلکشی، جدت طرازی اور خوشحالی کا تجربہ کیا۔

یہ سرگرمی ایس سی او یوتھ ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ انوویشن فورم کے لئے وارم اپ تھی، جو 31 مئی سے 2 جون کے درمیان شینزن میں منعقد ہوگی۔ فورم کا مقصد اختراعی تعاون، اختراعی تعلیم، ٹیلنٹ ٹریننگ، زرعی ترقی، دیہی غربت میں کمی، بین الاقوامی صحت تعاون، انفارمیشن انفراسٹرکچر کی تعمیر اور پائیدار ترقی میں دنیا بھر کے نوجوانوں کے درمیان دوستانہ تبادلے کو گہرا کرنا ہے۔

سائیکل سواری کی سرگرمی کو سوشل میڈیا پر لائیو اسٹریم کیا گیا اور متعدد چینی اور بیرون ملک پلیٹ فارموں پر زبردست توجہ دی گئی۔

IBA Karachi and JS Bank signed an MoU to finance the acquisition of a Donor Management System for IBA

Karachi, June 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi and the JS Bank signed an MoU to finance the acquisition of a Donor Management System for IBA. The agreement was signed by Executive Director, IBA, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, and President and CEO, JS Bank, Mr. Basir Shamsie. Participants included Ms. Malahat Awan, Director, Alumni Communications and Resource Mobilization (ARC), IBA along with senior team members from both the institutions.

JS Bank is assisting IBA in upgrading its technological capacity by donating a Donor Management System. The aim is to promote the adaptation and effective use of technology for IBA in its resource mobilization efforts. JS Bank will provide PKR 1.4 million for the procurement of the Donor Management System.

Dr. Zaidi, on the occasion, said, “The signing of the MoU marks a long-standing partnership of IBA with JS Bank. Today, we have witnessed another significant milestone achieved. The Donor Management System will build our capacity and assist us in our mission of providing quality education to talented and deserving students.”

Mr. Shamsie said, “In continuation of our long association with IBA, we aim to improve the educational capabilities of the institution. This latest partnership will help IBA streamline its technological capability and enhance its foothold in the educational landscape of Pakistan.”

JS Bank is working to build an educated, healthy, and prosperous society by providing healthcare, and education to the underprivileged members of our society. With this system, the IBA will be able to produce more from its efforts to make quality education available to underprivileged students.

All Pakistan Literary Festival arranged at UVAS

Lahore, June 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):The art and literary society Qirtas’ of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged ‘5th All Pakistan Literary Festival’ (Muqabla Shair-o-Sukhan) under the supervision of the Senior Tutor Office here at City Campus.

Various competitions including Urdu Nazm, Ghazal, Afsana, 100 Lafzi Kahani and Ashra Punjabi Nazm, English Prose and Short Story, Bait-Bazi were held. Students from different universities of Pakistan participated. The University of Sargodha was the winner of the contest while Government College Faisalabad stood runner up of this event. At the end of competitions Dr Rahat Naseer distributed shields among the winners of contests.

Earlier Qirtas arranged ‘Adbi Nashist” with the theme of ‘Adab Role for the Betterment of New Generation’. Mr Yasir Pirzada, Ms Amina Mufti and Mr Hassan Mirage were the guest speakers who delivered lectures to students while Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf and Prof Dr Ali Raza Awan and number of participants were present. Ms Munaza Ehtsham moderated this session. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad appreciated this discussion which is the key source for the betterment of students. All the speakers appreciated the efforts of UVAS in arranging such sessions and said it is need of the time to address the issues of youth.

FCCU hosts Workshop on Climate Journalism Education

Lahore, June 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Faculty of Humanities, Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), in collaboration with Journalism and Media International Center (JMIC), OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway, hosted a one-day workshop on Climate Journalism Education. The workshop was held on June 1, 2022, with various academicians, postgraduate students, and journalists joining in from all over Pakistan and abroad.

It discussed ways of teaching climate journalism and helped provide ideas for training journalism students through the collective effort of academicians and journalists who have worked in the field and are aware of the climate crisis. Dr. Altaf Ullah Khan, Dean of Humanities at FCCU inaugurated the workshop and gave a keynote speech in which he stated, “If we, as academicians, have a good understanding of climate crisis, only then we will be able to train our students in the best possible way on its journalistic perspective as well. Since climate change is both our present and our future.”

The workshop was moderated by Ms. Rachel Hasan, Chairperson Department of Mass Communication. Dr. Elisabeth Eide, Co-Director Media Climate Network and Professor of Journalism from OsloMet, gave a brief introduction of the workshop and gave the floor to Dr. Derk Bakker, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Sciences, FCCU. He highlighted the impacts and solutions for climate change. Dr. Elisabeth Eide later built upon his speech and shared why climate change is a concern for journalists and journalism students. She shared the models for education on climate journalism and stated, “It is crucial to combine studies with field visits for students as well and help them learn from local experts and indigenous people.”

Moreover, Ms. Hannah Bernstein, science journalist and project manager at Internews’ Earth Journalism Network, along with Syed Abubakar, Environment journalist and media trainer, and Syed M. Saqib, Assistant Professor of Mass Communication, FCCU, further discussed ways to train students to cover climate stories and what can be included in the courses to enhance future journalists’ capacity to report on climate. They were of the view that it is high time, climate journalism was integrated into the curriculum for journalism students in Pakistan.

Finally, Muhammad Daud Khan and Stella Paul, the two famous climate journalists working in the field and setting a precedent for others to follow, joined the workshop and shared, “As journalists, we are storytellers and are also the mediators between people at the frontline of climate crisis and masses. So, we have to be the ones to tell the missing stories to the world.”

The workshop was concluded with some final remarks by Dr. Elisabeth Eide and Ms. Oona Solberg, Director JMIC. Dr. Douglas Trimble, Vice-Rector, FCCU, was also present at the occasion and gave his concluding speech. After that, certificates were distributed among the participants. Overall, the training was informative and valuable for participants and encouraged them to become changemakers within their institutions, and support the efforts to introduce climate journalism education courses for journalism students in Pakistan.

UVAS observed ‘World Environment Day’

Lahore, June 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Department of Environmental Sciences and Senior Tutor Office students societies Green Youth Movement Club and Society for Conservation of Environment and Nature (SCEN) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged various activities to mark ‘World Environment Day’ here on Thursday.

A walk, a seminar, an inter-varsity poster and model making from reusable waste items competitions feathered the day observed with the theme “Only One Earth.” The purpose of the event was to create awareness about importance of earth and strategies to conserve and protect environment. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad led the walk and took the round of the City Campus while Director- Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) Mr Fakhir Raza, Chairman Center for Policy and Environmental Studies, Lahore School of Economics Prof Dr Nawaz Chaudhary, Ms Mahak Masood from Sustainability Manager- Interloop Limited, Principal Officer City Campus Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Senior Tutor Prof Dr Ali Raza Awan, Chairman Department of Environmental Sciences Dr Saif-ur-Rehman Kashif and a number of students and faculty members participated in the walk.

Addressing the seminar, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said it is the historic day celebrated in all over the world with zeal and zest. He advised students that their study should not be limited within their classrooms rather they should use their knowledge and skills to explore opportunities of research in their surrounding areas and play vital role to keep environment neat, clean and healthy for next generation.
