20 CCA cricketers amongst 191 players to receive enhanced domestic contracts

Lahore, September 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):After the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mr Ramiz Raja announced an increase in the retainers of domestic contracts by PKR100,000 across all five categories, the cricket board confirmed the list of 191 players who will be offered the enhanced packages for the 157-match six senior men’s events from 15 September to 30 March.

Monday’s announcement means 10 players in A+ category will now receive a monthly retainer of PKR250,000 each, followed by PKR185,000 each for the 40 cricketers in Category A, PKR175,000 each for 40 players in Category B, PKR165,000 each for the 64 players in Category C and PKR140,000 each for the 37 players in category D.

The retainers are in addition to the match fees, daily allowances, share in prize moneys and PCB-arranged lodging, boarding and traveling the domestic cricketers will receive during the six-and-a-half months of cricket.

As such, a Category A+ player, featuring in all matches, can earn up to PKR5million, whereas, a Category D player, who shows fitness and form throughout the season, can earn up to PKR3.75m annually.

This is a significant rise compared to a flat retainer of PKR50,000 that was offered to the domestic cricketers when the revised cricket structure was launched in the 2019-20 season. In the 2020-21 season, slab system was introduced and remunerations were fixed at PKR150,000 for A+ Category, PKR85,000 for Category A, PKR75,000 for Category B, PKR65,000 for Category C and PKR40,000 for Category D.

The latest announcement reflects the value and importance the PCB has decided to put into its domestic events as it aims to attract, incentivise, challenge and provide opportunities to the talented youngsters so that top-notch cricketers can graduate to the next level and strengthen the men’s national cricket team.

PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja: “It is extremely important that our domestic cricketers are paid well-enough so they continue to focus on upgrading their skills and fitness levels without worrying about how they have to take care of their families, loved ones and careers.

“It is duty of Pakistan Cricket Board to look after the cricketers in the country and I am very happy to announce this move. The significant increase in salaries, which I am hopeful will improve further in future, strengthens our current domestic system and removes ambiguities surrounding the welfare and sound earning opportunities for our cricketers who can adopt first-class cricket as a career.”

Amongst the 191 cricketers who have been offered domestic contracts for 2021-22 include 20 cricketers from the recently-organised CCA two-day tournaments. Out of these 20 cricketers, 11 are from far-flung areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the PCB remains committed in not only tapping talent from these areas but also involving them in the national framework.

The 20 players to break through the CCA Two-Day Tournament are:

Balochistan – Abdul Hanan (Killa Abdullah), Aftab Ahmed (Loralai), Fahad Hussain (Jaffarabad), Mohammad Idrees (Quetta), Mohammad Javed (Pishin), Sana Ullah (Loralai), Syed Zainullah (Pishin) and Tariq Jameel (Loralai)

Sindh – Khuzaima Bin Tanveer (Karachi), Mushtaq Ahmed Kalhoro (Sukkur) and Junaid Ilyas (Karachi)

Southern Punjab – Mohammad Shroon Siraj (Sahiwal)

In a continuation of its policy of rewarding last season’s top-performing cricketers, Kamran Ghulam, the recipient of the PCB Domestic Cricketer of 2020 award, and off-spinner Sajid Khan, member of the Test side, have been promoted to A+ category from C and A categories, respectively.

Kamran broke the 36-year-old record of the most runs in a first-class Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament when he scored 1,217 last season, while his Khyber Pakhtunkhwa teammate Sajid was the most successful bowler as he snared 67 wickets at 25.09 runs apiece.

The 191 domestic contracts have been split between the six CAs with each association earning a maximum of 32 players who were selected following a consultation process between the head coaches and their chairs and chief executives. These cricketers have been shortlisted from a pool of 40 players each per CA, who were announced on 4 September.

Players who have not been offered domestic contracts, will remain available for selection for their association and, like last year, will receive match fee, daily allowance and share in prize money.

The China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair empowers SMEs to accelerate their growth and international cooperation

GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 15, 2021 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/– In the pavilion of the China Import and Export Fair in Guangzhou, an international event for SMEs worldwide is preparing for the opening. The exhibition has an area of 80 thousand square meters, with 2500 standard booths. SMEs from over 30 countries and regions will participate in this grand event.

On September 14th, the 17th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) held a press conference in Guangzhou, China, to introduce preparations for the exhibition and invite international SMEs to participate. SMEs can share a new wave of China’s development opportunities through this open cooperation and globalized exhibition.

According to the organizer, the 17th CISMEF will be held in Guangzhou, China, from September 16th to 19th. Against the backdrop of continuing international pandemic, this most substantial and influential international exhibition for SMEs in the Asia-Pacific region will provide broad business opportunities for international SMEs. Exhibitors expect to actively reach new customers and make preparations for market expansion through this win-win platform, CISMEF.

Hellenic Agora, a wine company from Greece, has constantly participated in CISMEF for many years. The co-founder of Hellenic Agora, Liakos Constanions, believes CISMEF is a very good exhibition, and it can give opportunities for the companies to meet new customers, including B2B customers and B2C customers. He suggests that all the companies need to be ready to have the best appearance and the best exposure in a professional way.

While empowering SMEs to accelerate their growth, the international circle of CISMEF is also expanding. The overseas exhibition area of this CISMEF is about 10 thousand square meters, which has attracted companies from over 30 countries (regions or organizations) to participate such as Thailand, Germany, Japan. These companies include some Fortune 500 companies such as SAP in Germany and Philips in the Netherlands.

Since 2004, CISMEF has been successfully held for 16 consecutive sessions. About 50 thousand companies have participated in it. The total number of visitors and buyers exceeds 3.72 million. It has received extensive attention and positive evaluation from governments, international organizations, and SMEs worldwide.

The most distinctive international feature of CISMEF is the co-hosted mechanism. Since 2005, CISMEF has been inviting 19 countries and international organizations to co-host the exhibition. This year, CISMEF will invite the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Thailand Commerce Department as the co-hosts. The exhibition area of Thailand is about 1600 square meters and there are over 50 enterprises to participate, among Kasikornbank, Bangkok Bank, Charoen Pokphand Group and other well-known Thai enterprises.

The commercial counselor from the Commercial Section of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou says CISMEF is a platform for enterprises, particularly SMEs, to enter the Chinese market and promote their images. Through the exhibition, enterprises can build confidence among Chinese consumers and enhance their potential.

Nikkiso Cosmodyne Commissions TGNO-1000 Developed for Float Glass Applications

TEMECULA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries’ Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Group), a subsidiary of Nikkiso Co., Ltd (Japan), is pleased to announce Nikkiso Cosmodyne recently commissioned its TGNO-1000 gaseous oxygen and nitrogen plant. The new plant targets float glass manufacturing and was sold to an industrial gases company.

The Nikkiso Cosmodyne TGNO is a cryogenic oxygen and nitrogen generator designed to produce three gaseous product streams: medium and high-pressure nitrogen gas and oxygen gas. The high-pressure nitrogen comes directly off the nitrogen column at approximately 8.5 bar(g). The medium pressure nitrogen stream comes from the oxygen column overhead and is boosted by a waste stream expander to approximately 2.3 bar(g). The gaseous oxygen comes directly off the oxygen column which runs at an elevated pressure of 2.3 bar(g). All this is accomplished at a low specific power of 0.27 KW/Nm3

The TGNO-1000 was configured with mostly preexisting components to meet the developmental needs of this multi-product plant. This allowed them to meet the stringent goals of their industrial gas customer, who is selling the molecules to the float glass customer. The plant also operates without an attendant, so can handle fluctuations in product demand without human intervention.

The prefabricated TGNO is delivered in pre-piped, pre-wired, easy-to-install modular sections. The chiller, adsorber beds, switching valves and turboexpander are mounted in a single skid, minimizing field work. The control room module houses the motor control center and required analyzers.

“This is Cosmodyne’s most recent effort to supply cryogenic systems and plants which allows our industrial gas customers to develop their market and compete effectively, according to George Pappagelis, President of Cosmodyne Process Systems. “The TGNO-1000 was a collaborative effort among our operations in the US (Escondido, Seal Beach and Temecula) and India.”

Nikkiso Cosmodyne has extensive experience with liquid merchant plants as well as on-site gas plants like the TGNO-1000.

ABOUT CRYOGENIC INDUSTRIES
