According to Free and Fair Election Network, the registration figures are derived from district-wise electoral roll statistics released by the ECP on December 30, 2025, and cross-referenced with population estimates from the 2023 Digital Census. These estimates predict a 2025 population of 1,728,652 for Lower Dir, using a 2.35% inter-censal annual growth rate from the 2023 base population of 1,650,183. The district has 939,953 registered voters, comprising 516,924 males and 423,029 females.

In Lower Dir, 61% of the male population and 48% of the female population are registered to vote, highlighting a gender gap in voter registration. The district ranks 61st out of 136 districts nationally by population size and is represented by two Members of the National Assembly. By voter registration rate, Lower Dir ranks 52nd nationally and 22nd within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The voter registration rate in Lower Dir mirrors the national average, suggesting a balance between census enumeration effects such as out-migration and in-migration.
