Karachi: The Music Committee of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized an event titled "Musical Baithak," featuring performances by senior musician Ustad Mehmood Ali Khan and young classical singer Shahzaib Ali Khan at Haseena Moin Hall. The program showcased a variety of classical music genres and was attended by notable figures including President of the Arts Council Ahmed Shah, Ayla Raza, and music producer Sharif Awan, along with a large audience of classical music enthusiasts.
According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, President Ahmed Shah emphasized the importance of preserving classical music, describing it as a reflection of cultural heritage and identity. He acknowledged the efforts of individuals like Ayla Raza and Sharif Awan in advancing classical music and noted the roles of APMC and Tehzeeb in promoting the art form. Chairman of the Music Committee Amjad Hussain Shah praised the performers and congratulated Ahmed Shah for the successful organization of the event, attributing its success to his dedication to the arts.
Ustad Mehmood Ali Khan expressed gratitude to Ahmed Shah for his contributions to art and culture, recalling the launch of the "Musical Baithak" series in 2018. Shahzaib Ali Khan highlighted the intrinsic connection between music and passion, thanking the Arts Council for reviving this platform. The event concluded with Ahmed Shah presenting bouquets to the performers in recognition of their contributions.
