Chitral, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): After the cancellation of the proposed visit of His Excellency, Mr. Donald Blome, U. S. Ambassador to Pakistan to the University of Chitral, Miss Monica Davis, the Public Affair Officer, U.S. Consulate Peshawar held an online meeting with the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah on 11th July 2023. Earlier, H.E U. S Ambassador had condescended to pay a visit to the University of Chitral, a nascent organization in this remote part of the world, but it was cancelled in the eleventh hour owing to some important commitments of the principal visitor. The Vice Chancellor delivered a detailed presentation regarding the educational programs being offered at the University of Chitral and highlighted some of the insuperable issues being faced by the University.

Miss Monica assured that she will extend her cooperation and all possible support in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad to address the issues faced by the University of Chitral. Two Officers of the U.S mission in Pakistan along with Mr. Zeeshan Khan, Manager Youth and American Spaces visited the University of Chitral and discussed areas of mutual collaboration and common interest with the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. On behalf of the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, a book and Souvenir were presented to the Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor thanked the U.S. mission in Pakistan for showing great interest and resolve to strengthening the University of Chitral.
