Lahore, The Registrar’s Office of the Virtual University of Pakistan has announced a mandatory physical document verification process for provisionally admitted students. This verification is to be completed by December 8, 2023, and will take place during the mid-semester examinations of Fall 2023. The announcement specifically targets those students who have not yet completed the physical verification of their educational documents. This process is crucial for the students to avoid any potential inconvenience and ensure their continued enrollment at the university.
According to Virtual University of Pakistan, the verification process requires students to bring several important documents to the examination center. These include original academic transcripts, result cards, degrees, certificates, the original computerized national identity card (CNIC) or B-Form, two attested passport size photographs with a blue background, and two sets of attested copies of all educational documents and CNIC/B-Form. Additionally, students are required to write their Admission Form No. or VU ID on the top right corner of each document. The Exam Superintendent at the examination center will be responsible for verifying these documents and collecting attested copies.
The university has warned that failure to comply with this verification process will have serious consequences. Students who fail to verify their documents will first face a block on their Learning Management System (LMS) access, and subsequently, their admission to the university may be cancelled. This measure underlines the importance of the verification process for the academic integrity and administrative processes of the university.
It is important to note that this announcement applies specifically to provisionally admitted students who have not yet appeared at any campus or office of the Virtual University for verification of their original result cards. Students who have already confirmed their admissions or have presented their original documents by physically visiting a campus or office are exempt from this requirement. Additionally, the email explicitly states that this directive is not meant for overseas students.
