UVAS Partners with Farming Next for Senior Management Capacity Building

Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Farming Next. This collaboration aims to conduct capacity-building activities, including workshops, conferences, and seminars, for the university’s leadership, senior management, and staff.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the MoU was signed in a ceremony at UVAS’s City Campus. The agreement was formalized by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmad (SI) and Chief Executive Officer of Farming Next, Dr. Muhammad Akram. The event was attended by Dr. Muhammad Asif Awan, Director of the Veterinary Academy, along with administrative officials from both UVAS and Farming Next.

Prof Dr. Nasim Ahmed expressed gratitude to Farming Next for partnering with UVAS for the training sessions aimed at enhancing the capabilities of senior leadership and management staff. He highlighted UVAS’s successful track record in conducting various professional development programs in collaboration with public sector departments, including the Livestock Department and Punjab Higher Education Commission.

Dr. Muhammad Akram from Farming Next discussed the organization’s objectives, focusing on providing dairy animal nutrition knowledge and professional expertise to the dairy farming community to boost their profitability. The MoU also encompasses the aim and objectives of this collaboration.

Under the terms of the MoU, UVAS will provide necessary facilities such as training rooms, classrooms, meeting and seminar rooms, and an auditorium. These resources will be utilized to effectively conduct Farming Next’s trainings, workshops, conferences, and seminars at UVAS’s Veterinary Academy.

This partnership between UVAS and Farming Next marks a significant step towards enriching the professional skills and competencies of the university’s staff, aligning with the broader goal of enhancing the quality of education and research in the veterinary and animal sciences field.
