Lahore, The Department of Mathematics at the University of the Punjab is set to hold a series of weekly seminars, featuring various speakers discussing advanced topics in mathematical sciences. The seminars are scheduled to commence on June 5, 2024, aiming to foster academic discussions and collaborations among faculty and research scholars.
According to University of the Punjab, the seminar series will include presentations on diverse mathematical equations and methodologies. The lineup of speakers includes Muhammad Sheraz, who will discuss novel exact solution solutions of the (2+1) dimensional Sakovich equation, and Pakeeza Bakhtawar, focusing on the Gerdjikov-Ivanov equation with variable coefficients. Other topics covered by speakers Muhammad Ahmad and Ayesha Idrees will delve into soliton solutions for extended dimensional Sakovich equations and the study of nonlinear Kariat X equations, respectively.
These seminars are set to be held at the university’s seminar hall in the Mathematics Department and are open to all faculty members and research scholars in the MPhil/PhD programs. Dr. Zeeshan Yousaf, the coordinator for the Departmental Seminar Series, emphasized the importance of these gatherings in enhancing the academic environment and encouraging scholarly exchange.
