University of the Punjab Hosts Advanced Mathematics Seminar Series

Lahore, The Department of Mathematics at the University of the Punjab has organized a series of advanced seminars scheduled for June 6, 2024. These sessions will cover a range of specialized topics in mathematical theory and application, designed to enhance the academic environment and foster deeper understanding among students and faculty.

According to University of the Punjab, the seminar series will feature five speakers, each addressing complex topics within their field of expertise. Muhammad Arslan will discuss wave transmission using the improved Boussinesq equation and the doubly dispersive equation. Arooj Hashmi will explore the Extended VIKOR method applying picture fuzzy rough numbers. Shahid Mehmood’s presentation will focus on the application of modified auxiliary equation methods for solving nonlinear PDEs. Bilal Khan will delve into exact solutions of nonlinear PDEs using the exp(-F(?)) expansion method. The series will conclude with a closing speech by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram.

This weekly seminar, coordinated by Dr. Zeeshan Yousaf, is part of the university’s initiative to engage faculty and research scholars in high-level mathematical discussions and is expected to contribute significantly to ongoing research and academic development in the field.
