Sargodha, The Blood Donor Society at the University of Sargodha has launched a three-day blood screening and donor registration camp. This initiative aims to increase student participation in blood donation and enhance awareness about thalassemia.
According to University of Sargodha, the camp is organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Students Affairs. The Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin, inaugurated the blood screening camp. The camp is designed to offer free blood tests for students and facilitate donor registration, ultimately supporting thalassemia patients.
During the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin commended the efforts of the Blood Donor Society. He highlighted the importance of students engaging in societal welfare activities alongside their academic pursuits, recognizing such students as valuable assets. Prof. Yasin emphasized the significance of donating blood, describing it as a continuous act of charity and underscoring its impact in helping individuals during challenging times, particularly those suffering from thalassemia.
