UET Lahore Approves Major Initiatives for Fiscal Year 2026-27

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore's Finance and Planning Committee has approved several key financial and administrative measures aimed at enhancing research, innovation, and infrastructure for the fiscal year 2026-27. The 133rd meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Munir, focused on strategic priorities, including a budget exceeding Rs. 8 billion, to support the university's growth and development.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the meeting reviewed UET's financial affairs and development projects, emphasizing financial discipline and resource utilization. Key allocations include Rs. 80 million for modern laboratories, Rs. 150 million for IT infrastructure, and Rs. 72 million for scholarships. Faculty incentives were also increased, with funds set aside for research commercialization and PhD support. The Committee discussed various administrative fees and charges, aiming to strengthen UET Lahore's academic and research capabilities.
