University of Peshawar Announces Project-Based Positions under HEC NRPU Project

Peshawar, The University of Peshawar has invited applications from Pakistani nationals to fill positions under the Higher Education Commission’s National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) project. The project, titled “Fabrication of noble metal decorated metal oxide based sensor for monitoring of human breath biomarkers”, is aimed at advancing research and development in the field of metal oxide-based sensors.

According to a news release by University of Peshawar, Candidates who possess experience in thin film deposition, fabrication of metal oxides-based gas sensing devices, and materials characterization are encouraged to apply. Additionally, their responsibilities will encompass assisting the project investigator, working in the laboratory, conducting chemical analyses, and preparing and presenting project reports and manuscripts.

The positions, which are contractual, will initially last for a period of one year. However, based on the candidate’s performance and the availability of funds from the donor agency, there is potential for the contract to be extended for an additional year.

Interested individuals are advised to submit their applications, inclusive of an email address and cell phone number, on plain paper. Along with this, attested testimonials must be provided. All applications must be directed to the office of the undersigned within 15 days from the date of this advertisement.

It’s important to note that any applications deemed incomplete will not be considered. The selection committee will only reach out to those candidates who have been shortlisted for an interview. These individuals will be contacted through their provided email addresses or contact numbers, eliminating the need for separate call letters. Furthermore, applicants are required to bring their original certificates and testimonials to the interview. The university has clarified that no travel or dearness allowances (TA/DA) will be provided to candidates for the interview.
