Haripur, The University of Haripur’s Department of Public Health and Nutrition recently held a seminar titled “Role of Labour in the Development of Society,” in partnership with the Rahimia Institute of Quranic Sciences. The seminar aimed to shed light on the pivotal contributions of labor to societal progress through academic and practical discourse.

According to The University of Haripur, the event featured Engr. Sajid Ali, Head of the Electrical Department at the Govt Polytechnic Institute Mansehra and Regional Director of the Rahimia Institute of Quranic Sciences, as the keynote speaker. Engr. Sajid Ali provided a comprehensive analysis of how labor movements and workers’ rights impact societal development, drawing on various historical and contemporary examples. Dr. Shahbaz Ahmad Zakki, Head of the Department of Public Health and Nutrition, also spoke at the seminar, stressing the crucial role of supporting the labor force in fostering a more prosperous society.

The seminar witnessed high engagement from students, faculty, and staff, demonstrating the university’s commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of significant societal issues. The seminar concluded with Dr. Muhammad Ateed presenting a certificate to Engr. Sajid Ali, recognizing his insightful contribution to the event.
