Lahore, The University of Education in Lahore hosted the graduation ceremony for the 6th, 7th, and 8th batches of students from the National Freelance Training Program (NFTP) on November 14, 2023, at its Main Campus in Township. The event, chaired by the University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed, was graced by the Director General of E-Governance Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Sajid Latif, as the chief guest, along with Joint Director PITB Ahmed Islam.
According to University of Education, Lahore, the ceremony celebrated the achievements of 300 students who completed their training in various technology, marketing, and modern design courses. This initiative by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) aims to empower Pakistani youth with technical skills and online employment opportunities.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed highlighted the significance of modern technology in today’s world and the importance of equipping Pakistan’s youth with such skills for national development. The chief guest, Sajid Latif, emphasized the digital age’s demand for technical proficiency and its potential for earning livelihoods and contributing to the country’s foreign exchange.
The event also saw the participation of university officials, including Registrar Muhammad Nasir Ahmed and Treasurer Qaiser Iqbal, along with students and faculty members. The ceremony underscored the success of the National Freelance Training Program and the government’s commitment to fostering a technologically adept workforce.
