Chitral, September 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): In a momentous event on September 26, 2023, the Directorate of ORIC, University of Chitral inked two Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs), one with the Directorate of ORIC, University of Swabi and the other with Women University of Swabi aiming to foster and strengthen cooperation in the realms of research and academics, marking a significant step towards academic excellence and knowledge-sharing among these esteemed institutions.
The MOUs were signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral, Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah, and his counterpart Vice Chancellor of the University of Swabi, Prof. Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak who also serves as the Vice Chancellor of the Women’s University Swabi.
This collaboration aims to leverage the collective expertise, resources, and intellectual capital of both institutions to advance research endeavors and academic pursuits. Present at the occasion were Dr. Sahib Khan AP, Dr. Nazim Rahim (Registrar) Dr. Muhammad Romman (Director ORIC), Dr. Yasir Arafat (Director QEC), Dr. Nadeem Hassan (Director Admin), Dr. Kifayatullah (HoD English), Dr. Saiful Mujahid AP, Dr. Rizwanullah AP and Mr. Shakeel Hussain (PRO).
Prof. Dr. Zahir Shah, Vice Chancellor of the University of Chitral, expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement, stating, and “This partnership signifies a new era of academic synergy. Together, we will create opportunities for groundbreaking research and provide a fertile ground for students to flourish.”
Prof. Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak, Vice Chancellor of Swabi University, shared his sentiments, saying, “We believe that through this partnership, we can pool our strengths to address some of the most pressing challenges in our society. It’s a significant stride towards holistic academic development.”
As a testament to the commitment to this partnership, Prof. Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak also paid a visit to the land/site recently acquired by the University of Chitral for its campus development. This visit further solidified his dedication to expanding the horizons of cooperation and collaboration.
