UET Lahore Hosts Monumental 10th Annual Career Fair 2024


Lahore, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore celebrated a significant milestone by hosting its 10th Annual Career Fair 2024, marking a decade of facilitating successful employment opportunities for its students and fostering robust partnerships with key industry players. The event, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat, showcased a remarkable assembly of 121 industries across various sectors, offering 187 stalls for the eager student body.



According to University of Engineering and Technology, the career fair has seen exponential growth since its inception in 2015, starting modestly with 20 stalls to reaching a peak of 175 stalls in the previous years. This year’s participation from a wide array of industries including software and IT, Chemical and Polymer, Textile, Construction, and Mechanical, highlights the fair’s significance as a bridge between UET’s talented graduates and potential employers.



The event, meticulously organized by Prof. Dr. Naveed Ramzan, Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, and their team, attracted approximately 15,000 students who had the opportunity to engage directly with employers through interviews, tests, and on-the-spot job offers. This interaction not only provided students with invaluable exposure to the professional world but also allowed companies to scout and recruit fresh talent tailored to their specific industry needs.



The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat, commended the relentless efforts of the chair, co-chair, and the entire organizing committee, including staff and students, for orchestrating such a large-scale and impactful event. The closing ceremony of the event was a moment of recognition and gratitude, where souvenirs were presented to participating companies and the organizers, symbolizing the mutual appreciation and continued collaboration between the university and the industry sectors.
