Bahawalpur, August 12, 2023 (PPI-OT):Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that the relationship of trust between the teachers and parents of the university has been established since the last 100 years.

Thanks to this sincerity and trust, thousands of daughters and sons have graduated from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and today they are making the name of their parents, region, university and Pakistan famous all over the world. He said that mutual communication and trust between teachers and parents would be further promoted and strengthened. Special measures are being taken for mutual coordination between teachers and parents in all teaching departments under the supervision of Deans. Parents can visit teaching departments, hostels and university office at any time, get information, and give suggestions regarding their children’s curricular and co-curricular activities. The Vice-Chancellor further said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a standard educational institution not only of Pakistan but also of world level and its sanctity and respect is the duty of all of us.

He said that various organizations are investigating the recent incidents. The Chief Minister of Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has also given a special message in this regard that mothers should be reassured that their daughters are safe in the university and he has also asked to form a judicial commission in this regard. Governor Punjab Engr. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman also addressed the teachers and students during the recent visit and said that the incident was exaggerated and dirty videos from around the world were linked to the university. Higher Education Commission South Punjab has also investigated the incident and the results are awaited.

Similarly, a special committee set up by the Higher Education Commission has spent the last three days investigating the Islamia University. He said that after the results of these investigations, the recommendations will be fully implemented and the guilty will be punished. Action against the responsible employees has also been started in this regard.

The Vice-Chancellor said that the admission campaign for autumn semester 2023 is going on in the university and the students and parents are being welcomed in this regard. The Vice-Chancellor further said that the Independence Day celebrations will be celebrated in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur with traditional grandeur and in this regard, seminars, walks, quizzes, art and speech, essay writing competitions are going on in all the campuses. On the morning of August 14, central flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at the Abbasia campus, in which faculty, employees and students will participate
