Shazia Marri urges ECP to announce long-delayed judgment in PTI foreign funding case soon

Karachi, July 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Central Information Secretary of PPP-P Shazia Atta Marri has demanded from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to announce the “long-delayed” verdict in the prohibited foreign funding case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf soon. The judgment of foreign and prohibited funding case of PTI should be accounted sooner and Imran Khan is challenging the writ of the state due to prohibited foreign funding case. Ms Marri uttered that records have proven that PTI Chief Imran Khan had received seven and a half million US dollars transactions from different countries in the prohibited funding.

This she said in a statement issued hereon today. Ms Marri said that the verdict in the PTI prohibited funding case has been delayed by Election Commission of Pakistan for the last 8 years and a criminal is being unjustly given a relief at the stake of national security. She said the Pakistan is bearing the brunt of giving immunity to a “pampered criminal” and she claimed that it has been proved in the light of evidences that Imran Khan is not remained honest and trustworthy while another side, a father was disqualified for not taking salary from his son by the courts.

She uttered that the PTI’s chief Imran Khan hide truth during elections and has been talking lies continuously but no such action has taken against him. While emphasizing the ECP, she said that the ECP should announce the verdict in the PTI foreign funding case for the sake of the national security, national interest and justice as soon as possible. “Any further delay in the PTI foreign funding case is tantamount to jeopardizing the national security”, she added.

She further said that Finance Committee of PTI collected donations through their employees from the country and abroad and this crime was committed on the behest of Imran Khan and Arif Alvi and said that all illegal funding in foreign funding case should be confiscated by the federal government while PTI leaders cannot avoid without giving account of foreign funding case by raising noise and putting pressure on the institutions.
